I laugh LONG time...

Words are so powerful. What amazes me even more is just how much emotion
one can evoke with a few well chosen words!

What follows is a sort of postmodernist deconstruction of humor, ala
Derida. In other words, it's not really funny, but boy it makes you
laugh...

I laughed so hard I had to go for a hernia op. It was expensive.
Don't do it. Rather punch yourself....

This little story is called 'I like monkeys'

I took my 200 monkeys home. I have a big car. I let one drive. His
name was Sigmund. He was retarded. In fact, none of them were really
bright. They kept punching themselves in their genitals. I laughed.
Then they punched my genitals. I stopped laughing.

Spirituality podcast 1 scast1.mp3

A book review of a "Courageous leadership" by Bill Hybels. This book was donated to our students at John Wesley College. So I read it give a short review. This is my first attempt at podcasting! The sound quality is not very good since I recorded this podcast on my Powerbook using the internal Microphone.

A few great podcasts to check out!!!

Hey all!

Two quick bits of news!!!

Firstly, this post is coming from my SPANKING new Powerbook 1.5Ghz!
It is such a beauty with Superdrive and 2 Gigs of RAM!

Secondly, and to match the content of this post to the header.....
I don't know if you spend much time listening to podcasts (for those who don't know what a podcast is, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN for the last year and a bit!? You can find out more about podcasts at the following website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcasting/ )?

I listen to a few podcasts a week (mostly while I am driving or cycling).

My favourite one is a podcast that comes from England. It is called 'Top of the Pods'. It is two hilarious guys who give Top 10 lists of just about everything! They argue about nearly everything. I find it entertaining and insightful! You can even recomend it to your Pastor or your gran.... They deliberately keep it clearn. You can find it at http://www.topofthepods.com

My next favorite podcast has to do with gadgets and basically
anything that beeps and flashes! It can be found at http://podcasts.engadget.com/

Lastly, I have just discovered a great Scottish podcast. It is called the tartan podcast. It is some commentary, but mostly just
great Scottish Music. Check it out and download it here: http://www.tartanpodcast.com

Download, transfer to your pod, and enjoy!

Cheers,

Dion

PS. If you ever want to check out other podcasts you can see a whole lot at http://www.podcastalley.com

My favorite picture of the week!

I love checking out the Joy of tech comics (http://
www.geekculture.com). Here is one that is quite telling of the shift
from biosphere to noosphere.

Long live the brain!

Wow! What an amazing idea!

A first post!

I am constantly amazed at what can be achieved with the right tools!
This is the second post to my blogger.com weblog. What is is most
amazing about it is that I am putting this post onto the net using my
G4 iBook. Previously I had to do all posts from my 12" Powerbook
which has my blogging software installed on it. However, with
blogger.com I can simply email my entries in and have them added!
How cool is that!?

This will mean that I can add entries from virtually anywhere using
any one of my internet connected devices (Powerbook, iBook, Nokia
9500, iMate, Treo 600 etc. etc.)

Let's see how it goes!
